Western Red Cedar

Cedar is a premium deck product that has proven its versatility throughout time. Renowned for its beauty, while celebrated for its stability and natural insect resistance, cedar remains the strongest long term value for decking. We carry both 2×6 and 5/4 x 6 stock with multiple lengths available.

Once installed, cedar decking does not require any staining, or topical sealer. Left to weather naturally, Western Red Cedar will gently turn gray. However, cedar does take stain (oil-based preferred) extremely well, and is best absorbed by cedar when dry.

Due to its softer cellular structure, pressure washing is not recommended. A mixutre of TSP cleanser with bleach should be all that is required to return aging cedar to its earlier splendor.
